I've just recently acquired the skills and materials to run the Bunny Thumper posted on PvX (http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:R/W_Bunny_Thumper), yet I seem to have some trouble with survivability. I enjoy the change from the bow, and wish to pursue the build further, yet I can't seem to make the cut in the more individual areas such as Alliance Battles or Fort Aspenwood. Does anyone have a variation of the build that is a bit more focused on individual play? It would be much appreciated!

take out [skill]rampage as one[/skill] and put in [skill]heal as one[/skill] put in [skill]lightning reflexes[/skill]

For optional put [skill]counter blow[/skill] in

And run like hell if you meet a mesmer, or degen ranger, or elementist (may be able to kill them actually)

The build you posted has an optional slot -- so add some defense or a heal.

[lightning reflexes] or [whirling defense] wouldn't change your build much.

[never ramapage alone] will benefit you and your pet, but overlaps a bit with your elite... which you could consider chaning -- pehaps [heal as one]

Other simple options include [companionship] and [predatory bond]

You don't need to mod the build, you need a Monk. If it's in RA, hope for the best to get a Monk.

The thing you have to understand is that the bunny thumper build was designed for organized PvP play in mind. The point of it is to be able to attach yourself to a caster and deal constant 33% attack increase hammer DPS, KD, and deep wound while your pet deals out a bunch of additional DPS and daze. Its a "glass cannon" build created for teams with a monk behind you keeping you clean in mind.

If you don't like that, there are a bunch of other options,

[predatory bond] is the best option for a thumper to heal himself without modifying the build to much, but you will be hurting for energy. [companionship] is shit. Don't use it.

You can also use something like this in RA and do quite well:

( [tigers fury] / [lightning reflexes] ) [crushing blow][hammer bash][scavenger strike][Bestial Mauling][heal as one][charm animal] + Rezsiggy

you could take brutal strike in AB instead of res sig

if you have the pet tab open, you can see when theyve used a attack skill

You've missed the bunny thumper days imo. RaO was never the same after the major nerf. It's too much energy to maintain.

Just take out Ferocious Strike for Heal as One. And res sig for something else. Look in the variants.
